Lolibrary was founded in June of 2010 as a lolita fashion item database with the goal of answering questions like "What size is this JSK? What's the name of this print? What brand is this? Is the lace itchy?" and the dream of being a sanctuary for the history of lolita fashion. Today, the site is operated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit by volunteers and friends of the late founder and lists over 82,000 items stretching back over 40 years.
